Architect Jean Marc Bonfils graduated "architect D.P.L.G" in Paris-Villemin ,1987, and ERASMUS Post Graduate School, Architectural Association of London. Jean Marc Bonfils is also graduated "Ecole du Louvre" in history of art.
He participated as major in several main developments in France such as the Greenpark project, largest European Golf-Estate including 3 golf courses, 2 hotels, 900 individual Houses and 300 000 sq. of headquarters. He developed his practice with Christian de Portzamparc, Alain Sarfati, Architecture Studio, ARTE-Jean Marie Charpentier and Maurice Bonfils architectes.
He is the co-winner of the International Competition for the Central Beirut District Landscaping and is the architect of the National Library in Lebanon. He is a Teacher at ALBA (LEBANESE ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS ).
He is frequently invited to be member of jury for the diplomas degrees and has been teaching architecture at the American University of Beirut and at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts.
He is member of the Order of the Architects and Engineers of Beirut, Member of the Order of the architects of "Ile de France", member of the National-committee for the preservation of old houses and founder member of the Heritage and Patrimonial committee, Order Of Engineers and Architects of Lebanon.
On a personal note, he is also Member of the Patrimonial National Foundation and Member of the National Museum Committee.
